Since 2014, Alabama STEM Education has been dedicated to introducing underrepresented and underserved K-12 students to quality STEM education. Our programs, including science camp and STEM summer camps in Birmingham, AL, allow students to engage with the world around them, paving the way to the futures they deserve. Learning through fun and engaging materials is at the heart of our STEM Alabama initiatives.
Our Analytical Approach
Educating and engaging the whole family is our approach to enhancing the child's success in Alabama STEM education. We recognize that a strong family support system contributes to 75% of a child's achievement. That's why we ensure families are included in our monthly newsletters, 'Dinner for the Family' events, and various exposure trips. Additionally, our science camp initiatives and STEM summer camps in Birmingham, AL, are designed to foster learning and collaboration among family members, reinforcing our commitment to comprehensive STEM education.
Industry Wide Success
We collaborate with a large number of universities, community colleges, and other organizations to enhance STEM education in Alabama: Auburn University, University of Alabama, UAB, and Lawson State Community College. Our staff is trained in Early Childhood Education and holds a certificate in STEM education training. As a leader in STEM Alabama, we are proud to offer engaging science camps and STEM summer camps in Birmingham, AL. Additionally, Alabama STEM Education proudly holds 3 State of Alabama Licenses in Early Childhood Learning and is recognized as a 1 STAR facility at all three locations.
